How can you love me if you don't love yourself?

Home. It is so fucking amazing. Unlimited food and a Mom who will take me to Trader Joe's on a whim. I think I understand why people live with their parents for their whole lives. I have a full-full-full-time job now so I haven't really had a chance to do a lot of photo capturing, but I did set up my pinhole darkroom in the attic and take couple real quick. I also did a preliminary round of solargraphy for a week and a half and the photo turned out ok but I think I need a new location with a bit more noise in the foreground. I have ten rolls of film taken during my last week in Portland, the train ride and in Chicago and St. Louis so once I get my first enormous paycheck I will be getting those babies developed. Check back for those soon, but until then check out the goldies.

This one was taken on three separate strips to create that black line in the middle. This was an experiment that I had been thinking of trying for a while, but I think it ended up looking pretty stupid. The picture itself is awesome though, which is why I am posting it instead of lining my trashcan with it.

I took this photo last summer when I was visiting Sarah in Brooklyn and then put it back in my folder of paper to protect it for the journey home and forgot about it. Then in November I mistook it for a blank piece and tried to use it for a test strip for this picture and got this little combo baby. The picture by itself is pretty cool and I think it ended up being a nice combo as well. I am so fucking artistic my mistakes are masterpieces!

Another experiment that did not work how I wanted it to. I love when people edit text onto their photos and I figured it would be cool to do this with my pinholes so I put a piece of paper that I wrote on over the picture when I was making my contact print of this. Unfortunately, the pen wasn't dark enough so it just ended up looking like a blob. Still, I like it.

Solargraph.

This is a very disappointing post. I am sorry.

  1. Disappointing post. I don't think I'll be returning to "Eternal Fuzz" anytime soon.

  2. I agree with "Anonymous'" comment above; disappointing is the word. I started visiting "Eternal Fuzz's" blog a few months ago and I have been impressed. However, this post marks a gross decrease in the quality of the blog, and I can only stand dumbstruck as I watch a once fine blog descend, like a soon to be sunk ocean liner, into the dark depths of obscurity and failure. A disappointment indeed. Let's hope Mr. Kyle Walsh can get his act together and make looking at photography fun again; GOD hopes he can...

As an avid reader of "Eternal Fuzz" I am disappointed to see the blog going in such an empty and banal direction. My son and I had a tradition of checking "Eternal Fuzz" after I would pick him up from elementary school. We would do this everyday, waiting eagerly for an update. Then, Wednesday, April 28th rolled around, and, needless to say, my son doesn't want to visit "Eternal Fuzz" anymore. I can't say I do either. Disappointing.

  8. Wow SouthernBreeze75. Clearly you know nothing about any form of an artistic process if you are choosing to write of this entire blog because of one post your close-minded brain didn't seem to like. It's called experimenting, and it's the only way any sort of progress is made. If you want pretty prints of waterfalls and smiling children go buy a picture frame at wall mart and look at the images they stuck in there. Maybe you'll like those better.
